Director: Elaine Sneider

 

Director's Biography

The Administrator and Director of Adventures In Education is Elaine Sneider.  Elaine has been educating children since 1971.  She graduated with honors from Owens Community College and has taught over 150 camps and classes for organizations such as The Toledo Zoo, Maumee Valley Country Day School, and The 577 Foundation. 

During the school year Elaine teaches piano lessons, voice lessons,  the popular Musical Jamboree class and directs children's shows for Kids ACT 2 and Springfield Middle School.  In the summer she instructs camps and offers presentations for children. 

Elaine has performed in Mame, Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, Honk, Ragtime, Jekyll and Hyde for Waterville Playshop and Fiddler on the Roo, Music Man, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for Grand Rapids Historical Society.  She has directed seven children's musicals:  HONK! Jr., Tales of Three, The Jungle Book, The Friendship Tree, The Golden Pancake (2 xs), and Queen Isabella Finds a Castle.  She was Assistant Director for Charlotte's Web (WPS) and Stage Manager for Let Me Entertain You.  She is the Drama Director for Springfield Middle School where she has directed two productions, An Evening of Drama and GROOVY.

Elaine has received vocal training from Barbara Kondalski,  has been a part of five different vocal groups and she's had 14 years of piano lessons.
